Healthcare is complex, and people struggling with the burden of a chronic diagnosis are often overwhelmed. The Assistant Editor will help ease this burden by supporting the success of Pack Health in any and all tasks deemed critical and consistent with expectations set out by leadership and your director. The purpose of this position is to lead content projects and requires attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects at once and to coordinate and oversee content as needed for Pack Health platforms. The Assistant Editor role requires attention to detail, understanding of the overall healthcare market, disease state knowledge, and ability to oversee projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage daily operations for content teams
  • Hire, coach, and supervise personnel
  • Collaborate with Pack Studios team members and coordinate approval from Studios leadership for content topics across platforms.
  • Coordinate team meetings, schedules, and target launch dates
  • Oversee proofreading procedures and edit copy when necessary
  • Evaluate finalized copy for brand style / tone consistency
  • Draft, produce, and edit content as needed within the “voice” and brand of Pack Health, Pack Studios or its clients.
  • Oversee maintenance of online content databases.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Proven editorial experience or experience in relevant role
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills
  • Knowledge / experience in healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry a plus
  • Knowledge / experience in Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Working knowledge of CMS and Project Management Systems
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided
